Value Engineering Solution
- Innovative use of precast deep beam walls reduced lateral stresses on cores to allow the use of precast concrete for lift and stair cores.
- Eliminated additional steel roof to 75% of the building by utilising plant slab level and cantilever steelwork to give aesthetic to roof.
Unique Design Items
- Using a flat plate slab design allowed for simple formwork and speedy construction of floor plates so that party wall construction was removed from the critical path.
This new seven storey hotel development in Rivervale, Western Australia, is proposed to comprise of 96 rooms, a restaurant/bar and car parking.
