The PEL structures compromised of 23.3m tall portal frame trusses spanning 36.5m providing a large open and unobstructed space to accommodate plant installation.
Pritchard Francis carried out a design review for compliance with Australian Standards of two fabric clad steel structures at Plantation Energy’s biomass pelletising plant in Albany.
The initial design was completed in Poland with all structural steelwork fabricated in Canada. Minor modifications of steel trusses, concrete piles and footings were required in order to satisfy Australian design requirements.
