Perth Airport T1/T2 Staff Car Park
Civil Infrastructure
- Bus pick-up/drop-off bay was required to match with the existing levels and kerb. This was challenging due also to the need to be disability compliant.
- Retaining walls and kerbing were used to discretely and safely meet requirements.
Pritchard Francis was engaged by Perth Airport to design, document and site administer the proposed expansion of the T1/T2 precinct park and ride staff parking to cater for International, Terminal 2 Activity and Virgin Australia’s domestic operations.
The Pritchard Francis team acted as the Lead Consultant for all civil engineering aspects of the project from planning of the car park layout, liaison with adjacent developments and project teams, detailed design and coordination with the sub consultant team of architectural, structural, electrical, way-finding and road safety auditors to delivery of 1,247 new car parking bays.
The new car park was successfully delivered on time to the Client, ensuring Perth Airport Pty Ltd (PAPL) business objectives were met providing a design coordinated with the Consolidated Precinct Master Plan and Airport Drive project. The scope of work included provision of entry/exit plazas, bus shelters, pedestrian access ways, external pedestrian paths connecting to Terminal 2, and roadworks to Grogan Road to cater for B Double Vehicles.
