This new modern and broadcast quality greyhound race facility has been delivered on leased site adjacent to the existing facility in Cannington. The project includes kennel and associated facilities to accommodate greyhounds for 14 races per event, permanent food, beverage and wagering facilities for 400 patrons, internal venue with tiered seating and external landscaped areas catering for temporary facilities for crowds up to 1500 at larger events.

The Pritchard Francis team was involved with structural works for the kennels and tower. Civil services included the earthworks, drainage and roadworks, which included retention of insitu material topsoil, uncontrolled fill for non-structural re-use and re-use in cut to fill of clay to reduce material removed from site.

There is a 2,000m3 attenuation tank under the infield, which can utilize stored rainwater for operational requirements.

Through design development, the re-use of insitu materials and balance of materials presented significant value opportunities.
