Langham Gardens Bridge

Pritchard Francis was engaged by the City of Canning to conduct a Level 2 Inspection on the concrete bridge crossing of the Water Corporation culvert adjacent to Langham Gardens.

The inverted precast concrete U-beam bridge had a slight tilt to it and as such, required an inspection to deduce the reason for this. The visual inspection determined that the bridge was tilting due to the significant scour at the abutments causing the foundations to sink slightly.

Based on the observations of the inspection, a list of remediation recommendations were made to stabilise the bridge and prevent further erosion around the abutments.
