2017 Worksafe Work Safety Awards - Kimberley Ports Authority Fender Replacement

Pritchard Francis was engaged to provide an innovative engineering solution for access to the existing wharf. It was essential for the solution to enable temporary blast and paint maintenance to the existing berthing fender system. The design featured a cantilevered structure installed on the existing wharf to allow access below.

The Kimberley Ports Authority Fender Replacement Project Access Platform Design was recognised at the 2017 Worksafe Work Safety Awards for the 'Best Solution to a Specific Workplace Safety and Health Issue'. The project was recognised for being an innovative solution to a personnel safety challenge arising from unique access requirements.
